Northern Territory Police have attended a single vehicle crash near Bulman community around 9:30pm last night.
A 48-year-old male passenger was found deceased in the vehicle. Two other passengers had suffered injuries and were treated at the scene by local clinic staff. It was identified that the driver of the vehicle had left the scene before police arrived.
Detectives from the Major Crash Investigation Unit and local police are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
Detective Senior Sergeant Brendan Lindner said, “Anyone who was travelling in the area and may have information about the crash or the whereabouts of the driver are urged to contact police on 131 444 or Crime stoppers on 1800 333 000. We are asking drivers to take extra care on the Territory’s roads – nobody should spend Christmas mourning the loss of a loved one.”
