Westgate Highway Patrol officers are investigating a crash in Cocoroc this morning.
Emergency services were called to reports a car had crashed into a truck stopped on the side of the Princes Freeway about 10am.
The male driver of the car, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
The investigation into the circumstances of the crash is ongoing.
