Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash in Flowerdale this evening.
It is believed a male driver was travelling along Whittlesea-Yea Road when he left the roadway and crashed into a tree about 6pm.
The 82-year-old driver and sole occupant of the vehicle died at the scene.
He is yet to be formally identified.
The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.
