Police are investigating following a crash in Rushworth this morning.
It is believed a male driver was travelling along Girgarre-Rushworth Road when the car left the roadway and crashed into a tree before catching fire about 5.45am.
The driver, who is yet to be formally identified, driver died at the scene.
The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.
