Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash in Thornbury this evening.
Investigators believe a Toyota 4WD was travelling east on Dundas Street, when the car drove onto the wrong side of the road and collided into a power pole near Victoria Drive about 6pm.
The driver, a 62-year-old man from Lalor, died at the scene.
No one else was injured.
The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.
At this stage, it’s believed the driver had a medical episode prior to the crash.
