Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash in Wunghnu this morning.
Emergency services were called to reports of a white Hyundai van that had come off the road on the Goulburn Valley Highway near Carlisle Street about 2.40am.
The driver, a 76-year-old man from Clifford Hill, South Australia, died at the scene.
The van had lights on the roof and investigators believe it may be a pilot vehicle.
The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined and police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
