Police are responding to serious crash at West Croydon, South Australia

Police are at the scene of a serious crash at West Croydon.

Just after 2.30pm today (Friday 24 September), patrols and emergency crews were called to Port Road near Minnie Street, after a pedestrian was struck by a car.

The elderly pedestrian has been taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with life threatening injuries. The driver of the car was not injured.

Two lanes for city bound traffic on Port Road are currently closed while investigators from Major Crash examine the scene.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam vision is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
