Police are responding to serious crash in Edmonton, QLD

Police are investigating a single vehicle crash in Edmonton this evening (September 5).

Police will allege three teens in a stolen car lost control and crashed into a tree at the intersection of Barney Street and Farmer Street.

A14-year-old boy allegedly fled the scene on foot leaving a 13-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy in the vehicle with injuries.

Police located the 14-year-old boy a short distance away and transported him to the Cairns Base Hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The passengers were also transported to the Cairns Base Hospital for further treatment. The 13-year-old with non-life threatening injuries and the 17-year-old with critical injuries.

Investigations indicate the car was stolen from Kuranda shortly before 4pm today.

Investigations are continuing.
