Police are responding to serious crash in Kalinga, QLD

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a crash is Kalinga last night which has left a motorcyclist with serious injuries.

Initial information indicates the 37-year-old Ferny Hills man was riding east on Rose Street around 7.10pm.

It is alleged a black Hyundai SUV travelling in the opposite direction turned right at the Kent Road intersection and collided with the motorcycle.

The motorcycle rider was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with critical injuries.

The driver of the car, 20-year-old Taigum woman, was not physically injured.

Investigators urge witnesses or anyone with dash-cam footage to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
