A man has been arrested following a pursuit at Forest Range last night.
About 10pm on Saturday 6 November, a traffic patrol detected a blue Holden sedan speeding on Lobethal Road. Police indicated for the driver to pull over however they refused to stop.
Police pursued the car to Norton Summit Road at Teringie where officers were able to deploy road spikes. The cars tyres were successfully spiked causing all four tyres to deflate and the vehicle to be immobilised.
The car stopped at the corner of Coach-House Drive, Magill and the driver was arrested.
A 35-year-old man from Saddleworth was charged with speeding, dangerous driving to engage in a police pursuit and driving unlicenced. The man’s car was also impounded for 28 days. He was bailed to appear in the Mt Barker Magistrates Court on 15 December.
