A driver has been arrested overnight after running two red lights and refusing to comply with a breath analysis.
Northern District police were patrolling along North East Road, Holden Hill, at about 11.30pm on Monday 8 June when they observed a Mazda sedan fail to stop at a red light at the intersection of Sudholz and Innes roads.
Patrols stopped the vehicle nearby, where the driver allegedly returned a positive roadside breath test and then refused to provide her personal details to police.
She was subsequently charged with driving without due care, failing to submit to a breath analysis, driving under the influence, and failing to state her personal details. The woman was also charged over an earlier crash in the carpark of a hotel at Glynde.
She was issued with a 12-month instant loss of licence and granted police bail to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on 17 June.
Her vehicle was impounded for 28 days.
