Police arrest driver at Torrensville, South Australia

A woman has been arrested on a warrant after allegedly failing to stop for police at Torrensville this afternoon.

Police attempted to pull over a vehicle on Bagot Avenue just after 4.30pm on Friday 11 December for traffic matters. The vehicle failed to stop and police terminated any pursuit.

However, the Ford Laser sedan drove on the wrong side of Henley Beach Road and sideswiped an oncoming car before coming to a complete stop and nudging the bumper of another car. Both collisions were extremely minor in nature and resulted in minimal if any damage to the other vehicles.

The 38-year-old female driver was arrested for an outstanding warrant. She was taken to hospital as a precaution.

Investigations are continuing into the alleged traffic offences.

The Ford Laser was towed from the scene.
