Police arrest four after Glen Waverley drug warrant

Detectives from Eastern Division 1 Divisional Crime Team arrested four people and seized a traffickable amount of methylamphetamine following a warrant in Glen Waverley yesterday (29 September).

Officers attended an apartment on O’Sullivan Road about 1.30pm as part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking.

One man allegedly fled on foot and climbed over several balconies in an effort to get away but was arrested shortly after.

Three other people were arrested inside the apartment before officers located methylamphetamine, cannabis, stolen power tools and almost $4000 in cash, believed to be the proceeds of crime.

A 33-year-old Glen Waverley man has been charged with traffick methylamphetamine, possess methylamphetamine, possess cannabis, handle stolen goods, possess proceeds of crime and fail to comply with the Chief Health Officer directions.

A 28-year-old Glen Waverley woman was charged with possess methylamphetamine, possess cannabis and fail to comply with the Chief Health Officer directions.

Both were bailed to appear before Ringwood Magistrates’ Court on 9 March 2022.

A 27-year-old man was charged in relation to outstanding warrants and bailed to appear before Ringwood Magistrates’ Court on 7 March 2022.

The Scoresby man and a 50-year-old Hillside man were also issued with infringement notices for breaching the Chief Health Officer directions.
