Police arrest four following drug warrants in Richmond

Investigators from the Melbourne DRU executed two search warrants at properties on Church Street, Richmond yesterday.

The search warrants were executed in relation to an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking.

Four people were arrested at the two addresses:

A 40-year-old woman from Richmond has been charged with:

• Trafficking Heroin

• Trafficking Methyl Amphetamine

• Possess Heroin

• Possess Methyl Amphethamine

• Possess Cannabis

• Possess GHB

• Possess a Prohibited Weapon

• Negligently Deal Property Suspected Proceeds of Crime

• Commit Indictable Offence Whilst on Bail

She has been remanded to appear at court on a date still to be confirmed.

A 50-year-old Richmond woman has been charged with:

• Possess Cannabis

• Possess Prohibited Weapon

She has been bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 30 April.

A 25-year-old Colac man and a 40-year-old woman from Kew were both interviewed and released pending further enquiries.
