Police arrest four in Werribee

Four people have been arrested following an alleged incident in Werribee this morning (24 May).

Police were patrolling the area when they spotted a vehicle allegedly speeding on the Geelong Freeway.

The vehicle exited at Duncans Road where police intercepted the Ford Falcon sedan in Synot Street about 2.55am.

The unlicensed driver of the vehicle, a 24-year-old Tullamarine man, was arrested for outstanding warrants.

His 24-year-old Truganina front seat passenger was arrested and has been charged with being in possession of a conducted energy device and other weapons offences.

Both men have been remanded to appear at Sunshine Magistrates’ Court today.

An 18-year-old rear seat from Werribee along with an 18-year-old Tarneit woman were both arrested after allegedly being in possession of drugs.

The pair were released after receiving drug diversions.
