Police Arrest Man After BMW Stolen At Woodville West

A man has been arrested following an aggravated robbery at Woodville West this afternoon.

Just before 1.30pm on Tuesday 30 June, a man was washing his car at a service station carwash on Port Road when an unknown man got into the driver’s seat and threatened the victim with a knife.

The suspect drove off in the BMW which had the victim’s pet dog inside at the time. The man was not injured.

Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators attended the scene.

The victims’ dog was located at Lower Light about an hour later.

The BMW continued travelling north through Port Wakefield, north on the Augusta Highway where it was successfully spiked and the driver arrested near Germein Bay.

The driver, a 35-year-old man from Kilburn is expected to be charged with illegal use and aggravated robbery. A decision is yet to be made regarding bail.
