Detectives from the Sexual Crimes Squad have arrested a man following an alleged sexual assault in Broadmeadows yesterday.
The 20-year-old man, who is of no fixed place of address, was arrested shortly after 3pm in Meadow Heights.
He will now be interviewed by police.
This arrest follows an incident in Broadmeadows shortly after midnight on Monday, 18 February.
It’s understood a woman was allegedly sexually and seriously physically assaulted inside a property on Railway Crescent.
At this stage the exact circumstances of the incident are still being determined and detectives have been at the crime scene throughout today.
