Police arrest man after CBD sexual assault, South Australia

A man will face court today after an alleged sexual assault in the CBD.

Police will allege the victim met a man in the city on Monday 28 February and went with him to an address in King William Street. The victim woke the next morning (Tuesday 1 March) as the man was allegedly sexually assaulting her. She pushed him away and left and the incident was reported to police around 11pm that same day (Tuesday 1 March).

Following investigations, detectives from Eastern District CIB located the man at an Adelaide address around 2am, Wednesday 2 March and arrested him.

The 35-year-old from Adelaide was charged with rape and did not apply for bail. He will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.
