Homicide Squad detectives have arrested a man this morning following the death of a woman in Chelsea.
A 53-year-old Chelsea man was taken into custody near his home address and will now be interviewed by police.
The arrest follows the discovery of the body of a 78-year-old Chelsea woman inside her Drinan Road home about 10.30am yesterday.
The parties are believed to be known to each other.
The death is being treated as suspicious and the investigation remains ongoing.
