Police arrest man after damaging city businesses, South Australia

A man has been arrested following a graffiti attack in the city overnight.

Just after 3.30am on Saturday 23 February, police received reports of a man spray painting businesses in Rundle Street. Patrols were directed to the man’s location by Police Security Services staff monitoring city cameras.

The 40-year-old from Walkerville was located in Rundle Street in the act of spray painting a business.

Police will allege the man had spray painted 22 businesses in the CBD from Union Street to Rundle Street. He has been charged with mark graffiti, carry graffiti implement and property damage and no determination regarding bail has been made at this time.

If anyone in the Rundle Street or Union Street vicinity discovers their property has been marked with graffiti and have not yet reported it to police, they are asked to contact the Police Assistance Line on 131444.
