Police arrest man after domestic incident at Sefton Park, South Australia

A man was arrested after a woman was stabbed at a shopping centre this morning.

Police were called to a violent disturbance in the car park at a shopping centre on Main North Road, Sefton Park just before 8am on Tuesday 30 November.

Witnesses reported a woman had been stabbed and forced into a vehicle by a group of people.

Patrols quickly attended a Blair Athol address where they located the victim with stab wounds to the abdomen. She was taken by ambulance to the Royal Adelaide Hospital. Her injuries, although serious, are not believed to be life threatening.

Western District CIB detectives and crime scene investigators attended the scenes. Investigations are continuing.

This was not a random incident and the people involved are known to each other.
