Police arrest man after drugs in mail

Detectives from Joint Taskforce Icarus arrested a man yesterday following an investigation into alleged drug trafficking through the mail.

Operation Lebruce kicked off in August last year and a warrant was executed at an apartment in Melbourne’s CBD just after 10am.

It is alleged drugs, including methylamphetamine, cannabis, cocaine, pharmaceutical drugs, GHB and a large amount of cash was seized.

A 25-year-old man was arrested and taken to hospital where he remains under police guard.

Joint Task Force Icarus is staffed by Victoria Police, Australian Border Force, Australian Federal Police and the Department of Home Affairs.
