Police arrest man after fatal hit run collision at Roxburgh Park

Police have arrested a man following a fatal hit and run collision in Roxburgh Park this morning.

Investigators understand a pedestrian was struck by a light-coloured sedan on Silvester Parade and Pinnock Avenue about 11.15am.

It’s alleged the car did not stop and continued travelling east along Silvester Parade towards Roxburgh Park Drive.

The pedestrian, a 73-year-old man from Roxburgh Park, died at the scene.

A 20-year-old man from Roxburgh Park was arrested when he presented himself to police about 12pm today.

He is assisting investigators with their enquiries.
