Police arrest man after incapacitating women

Sex Assault Squad detectives have charged a 31-year-old man, as a result of their ongoing investigation into his activities.

Between February and March 2022, the man met two women through different online dating sites. It will be alleged whilst the man was on a date with the women (separately), he put a substance in their drinks, incapacitating the women.

It will be further alleged on one occasion after the woman was incapacitated, he sexually assaulted her.

The 31-year-old man from Shelley has been charged with:-

• Two counts of Stupefying in Order to Commit an Indictable Offence; and

• Two counts of Sexual Penetration without Consent.

He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today, 25 March 2022.
