Police arrest man after incident at bottle shop, South Australia

A man has been arrested after a theft at a Fullarton bottle shop tonight.

Police will allege that just after 8pm on Thursday 5 September, a man entered a bottle shop of a hotel on Glen Osmond Road in possession of a knife. The man was in the store for a short time, before leaving the bottle shop in possession of a bottle of alcohol towards Gladstone Street on Glen Osmond Road. No one was injured at the bottle shop.

Patrols quickly attended the bottle shop and obtained a detailed description from staff of the male offender. Just before 8.30pm, police located a male matching the description provided in possession of a bottle of alcohol on the corner of George Street and Greenhill Road.

A 36-year-old man of Glenside was charged with theft and carry offensive weapon and assault. He was refused bail to appear at the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Friday.
