A man has been arrested following a pursuit at Morphett Vale early this morning.
Just after 3am patrols attempted to stop a Mercedes on Riesling Street Morphett Vale the driver refused to stop and the car was pursued for a short distance before patrols lost sight of the vehicle.
Patrols located the alleged driver on Queen Street and the Mercedes was located abandoned on Eustace Crescent.
Checks reveled the car had been stolen from a home at Malvern the previous day (3 December). A second Mercedes was also stolen and has not been located. The second Mercedes is a Silver 2008 A Series SA registration DD022E. If anyone sees the car please call the Police Assistance Line on 131 444.
The driver, a man aged 24 from Christie Downs has been arrested and charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass, theft, aggravated robbery and engage in police pursuit.
He has been refused police bail and will appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court tomorrow.
