Police arrest man at Premier’s press conference, South Australia

A man has been arrested after an incident in Adelaide.

About 12.20pm today (Thursday 30 June), a press conference was held by Premier Peter Malinauskas on Hutt Street.

During the press conference, a plain-clothes police officer asked a man to move back after getting too close to the Premier. The man refused and allegedly started acting in a disorderly manner.

The 54-year-old Adelaide man was arrested and charged with disorderly behaviour and assault police.

He was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 5 August.
