Police arrest man over dangerous riding

Police have arrested a 30-year-old Cranbourne man following an alleged display of dangerous riding in Moorooduc.

Officers allege the man was riding an unregistered electric green Kawasaki with false plates along Peninsula Link about 4.30pm yesterday.

The bike was travelling at approximately 225 km/h before its rear tyre blew and officers were able to catch up to the rider.

He was arrested, interviewed and has been charged with conduct endangering life, fail to stop on direction, drive at speed dangerous, disqualified riding and numerous other traffic offences.

Investigators believe a number of other riders may have been with the Cranbourne man prior to his arrest and may have been involved in other erratic riding in Rosebud, Safety Beach and on the Monash Freeway at Glen Waverley and Blackburn.
