Police arrest man over death of woman at Felixstow

A man has been charged with murder following an investigation into the death of a woman at Felixstow.

About 1.30pm Wednesday 15 November, police were called to St Margarets Crescent after a woman’s body was found inside a home.

The woman is believed to be a 44-year-old resident of the unit.

Eastern District Police, Major Crime Detectives and crime scene investigators were called to the scene.

Detectives undertook a comprehensive investigation into the cause and circumstances of her death and determined it to be suspicious.

About 2.40pm on Tuesday 21 November, a 50-year-old Felixstow man was arrested in the states far north by APY Lands Detectives in relation to the death.

The man was charged with murder and will appear in the Coober Pedy Magistrates Court later today.

The accused is known to the victim and no other persons are being sought by police.
