Police arrest man over sexual assaults, South Australia

A man has been arrested following an investigation into sexual assaults in the northern suburbs.

Police will allege that during the past six months the 72-year-old man from the northern suburbs sexually assaulted a woman known to him, while he was providing gardening services at her property.

On Friday 1 July, detectives from the Northern District Criminal Investigation Branch arrested the man and charged him with four counts of rape and two counts of indecent assault.

He was refused police bail and appeared in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Monday 4 July where he was remanded in custody.

He was later granted home detention bail to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on 24 October.
