Police arrest man over stolen BMW, South Australia

A man has been arrested on several charges including illegal use of a motor vehicle after he was found driving at Prospect yesterday afternoon.

Just after 5pm on Friday 1 March, a police patrol spotted a man driving a Ford sedan car on Churchill Road, bearing incorrrect number plates for the car.

Further enquiries uncovered the car was unregistered and uninsured, it also had previously been defected and the man driving was under disqualification.

The Police patrol then searched the 21-year-old man and also discovered the key to a stolen BMW in his bumbag and he was wanted for illegal use of the vehicle.

The Marden man was arrested and charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle, driving while disqualified, driving an unregistered and uninsured car.

Police have yet to recover the stolen 1995 grey 320i BMW registration number AA801A anyone with information on the location of the vehicle is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
