Police arrest man over Underdale break-in, South Australia

A Henley Beach South man has been arrested after he allegedly broke into a house at Underdale tonight.

Just after 8pm on Friday 8 November, police patrols were called to a house on Holbrooks Road after the resident reported hearing strange noises coming from a bedroom.

Netley patrols were quick respond, while the home owner provided updates to the police call centre.

On arrival, the patrol spotted a man at a bus stop on Holbrooks Road, right next to the house they were called to. On seeing police the male ran off, leaving behind two electric guitars and two laptops at the bus stop.

The patrol gave chase apprehending him a short distance away in Arnold Street.

The 36-year-old man has been arrested and charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass and theft of the guitar and laptops from the Holbrooks Road house. He has been refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday.
