Detectives from Geelong Crime Investigation Unit have arrested two men as part of an investigation into a home invasion in Belmont this morning.
It is understood two armed offenders gained access to a residential address on Oberon Drive about 9.10am.
When the pair entered the property a resident, who was not home at the time, was notified via a doorbell camera.
After calling Triple Zero (000), the woman returned to her address and was confronted by two of the offenders.
Two neighbours, who had noticed the offenders at the property, managed to restrain the two men until police arrived.
Officers arrived on scene, and the pair were quickly taken into custody.
Prior to police arrival, it is understood two females fled the scene in a grey Volkswagen, which was bearing stolen plates.
The unoccupied Volkswagen was located a short time later by investigators on Tanunda Grove.
The 32-year-old was not physically injured.
A 27-year-old Norlane man and a 26-year-old Altona North man will now be interviewed in relation to the incident.
The investigation remains ongoing.
