Police arrest six after stolen car dumped – Dandenong North

Police have arrested six people after an allegedly stolen car was dumped in Dandenong North this morning.

Officers were patrolling Cranbourne-Frankston Road about 1.15am when they noticed a speeding red Toyota Camry.

The Air Wing was notified and followed the car to an address in Tarata Drive, Doveton where one of the occupants exited the vehicle.

The car drove off and police attended and arrested the passenger.

Officers attempted to intercept the Camry a short distance away but the driver refused to pull over for police.

The Air Wing continued to follow the car until it was dumped near the intersection of Outlook Drive and Murray Road, Dandenong North.

Police arrived a short time later and arrested five people after a short search of the area.

Five males and one female are currently assisting police with their enquires.
