Police arrest teen in connection with city murder in April, South Australia

Detectives from Major Crime Investigation Branch, have today arrested a teen as part of their investigation into a murder in the CBD in April.

At around 2am, Monday 25 April, police were called to North Terrace after a man was found lying on the road at the intersection of North Terrace and George Street. When patrols arrived they found the man had suffered multiple stab wounds to his chest. Sadly, the 25-year-old Victorian man died at the scene.

As a result of investigations police arrested a 17-year-old Victorian boy and a 21-year-old Victorian man and charged them both with murder. The youth has since been charged as an adult and they will next appear in at the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 14 December.

Following further investigation, detectives arrested a 17-year-old girl from the northern suburbs and charged her with assist offender. She has been bailed to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on 28 August.

Investigations are continuing and police have not ruled out further arrests in relation to this matter.
