Police arrest teens at CBD building site, South Australia

Police have arrested five youths after they were allegedly caught on a construction site in the CBD.

Just before 7pm on Tuesday 27 October, patrols were called to a multi-storey building under construction in Currie Street after reports of persons jumping a fence. Patrols were quickly on scene and set up various cordon points while PD Judge and his handler went in and carried out a search.

After about 30 minutes, PD Judge located a teenage boy on the 11th floor and a short time later, three other teenage boys were apprehended running from the site by police manning cordon points.

The four teens aged between 14 and 16 and all from the northern suburbs, have all been charged with unlawfully on premises.

A 15-year-old girl from Kilburn was also apprehended prior to the search and police will allege she was acting as a lookout. The girl has been charged with aid and abet.

All are expected to be bailed to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court at a later date.
