Police arrest three after Dandenong stabbing

Detectives from the Echo Taskforce have arrested three people today as part of an investigation into a stabbing in Dandenong earlier this month linked to the Finks Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG).

Warrants were executed this morning at residential properties in Springvale, Cranbourne East, Dandenong and Hillside.

A 31-year-old Springvale man has been interviewed and subsequently charged with intentionally causing serious injury in circumstances of gross violence, intentionally cause serious injury, affray, possess methylamphetamine, possess steroids and possess cocaine.

A 46-year-old Hillside man has been interviewed and charged with intentionally causing serious injury in circumstances of gross violence, intentionally cause serious injury, affray and fail to comply with a direction pursuant to Section 465AA of the Crimes Act 1958.

The pair will face Dandenong Magistrates’ Court this afternoon.

A 28-year-old Dandenong man was interviewed and charged with possess prohibited weapons offences.

He has been bailed to appear at court at a later date.

It’s alleged the three men are all connected to the Finks OMCG.

Detectives also seized a number of items from the addresses including methylamphetamine, cocaine, steroids, nun-chucks and other various prohibited weapons.

The arrests follow an incident on Sunday, 6 March where a man aged in his 30s was seriously assaulted by a group of males while walking along Dunn Crescent about 8.20pm.

He sustained a number of stab wounds and was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
