Police Arrest Three After Kidnapping At Auburn

Police have arrested three people following an alleged kidnapping in Sydney southwest over the weekend.

Yesterday (Sunday 2 November 2025), officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command received a report that a 42-year-old man had been kidnapped from a Riverwood home, about 8am the same day.

Police were told a group of unknown people had forced their way into the home before allegedly assaulting the 42-year-old man and leaving the scene.

Officers established a crime scene at the home and detectives attached to Campsie Police Area Command took carriage of the investigation into the incident.

Following extensive investigations, detectives – with assistance from officers attached to Auburn and Cumberland Police Area Commands – attended a home on Susan Street, Auburn, about 8pm yesterday.

On arrival, police located the 42-year-old man allegedly being assaulted by a woman before she and two other men ran from the scene.

Following a foot pursuit, police arrested the woman – aged 44 – and two men – aged 28 and 33 – before taking all three to Burwood Police Station.

The 42-year-old woman was assessed at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taking to hospital for further treatment.

Police established a second crime scene at the Auburn address and seized a Mitsubishi SUV allegedly containing cable ties and a baton.

Investigations into the incident are continuing.
