Police arrest two after pursuit ends in Hectorville, South Australia

A man and woman have been arrested after a pursuit throughout the suburbs today.

Police will allege that just before 3pm today (Friday 13 September) a patrol saw a Toyota Hiace van on Grand Junction Road, Gepps Cross. Checks revealed the van was stolen.

When police tried to stop the van it took off, and the patrol pursued the van for a short time before the police helicopter (PolAir) took over the pursuit.

PolAir followed the van through Northfield, Ingle Farm and Enfield, then through Manningham before stopping in Curtis Street, Hectorville where the pair were arrested just before 3.30pm.

A 38-year-old Hectorville man (the driver) will face numerous charges including illegal use of a motor vehicle, engaging in a police pursuit and driving in a dangerous manner.

The passenger, a 20-year-old Surrey Downs woman was also arrested, and both are currently being interviewed by police.
