Police arrest two for Operation Tidal in Dandenong overnight

Police from the Operations Response Unit arrested two people and recovered a stolen vehicle in Dandenong early this morning.

Officers were patrolling when they located two people in a vehicle on Stud Road about 4.25am.

Police spoke with a male and female and discovered that both of these individuals has outstanding warrants in force against them.

They were arrested and taken to Dandenong Police Station where they were interviewed.

A 35-year-old woman from Maidstone has been charged with Theft of Motor Car.

She has been bailed to appear at Frankston Magistrates’ Court on 14 April 2020.

A 26-year-old man from Officer has been remanded to appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court today in relation to the outstanding warrants.

These arrests are part of Operation Tidal which utilises a highly visible police presence including support from the Operation Response Unit, across the Casey, Greater Dandenong and Cardinia Police Service Areas (PSAs).

Tidal is an ongoing operation and police will continue to focus resources where they’re most needed
