Police arrest two in Glen Waverley

Box Hill police have arrested two men in relation to an alleged series of vehicle thefts, deceptions and drug related offences in Glen Waverley this morning.

Police responded to reports of an alleged petrol drive off by a navy blue Jeep Cherokee about 8.35am at a petrol station on Station Street in Box Hill South.

The vehicle was then sighted about 10.20am allegedly driving erratically through Rowville before being located abandoned at a Springvale Road shopping centre about 11am.

The pair were arrested following a short search by police and Air Wing a short time after on Sneddon Parade.

A 21-year-old Bayswater man and 28-year-old Blackburn man were arrested and are currently in custody assisting police with their enquiries.

The investigation remains ongoing.
