Police arrest two speeding motorcyclists

Police have arrested two motorcyclists after they were located speeding through several suburbs last night (3 October).

They were observed travelling at high speeds just before midnight on Eastlink in Carrum Downs.

Police attempted to intercept the pair in Dandenong, but they took off again at high speed.

Airwing monitored the two motorcyclists, tracking one back to a Dandenong address and the other to a Vermont address where both were arrested.

Both motorbikes have been impounded and a 43-year-old Dandenong man and a 44-year-old Vermont man are being interviewed in relation to numerous offences including reckless conduct endangering life due to high speeds and dangerous driving.

Whilst committing the offences, the offenders were also found to be in breach of the directions issued by the Chief Health Officer and will be issued with a $1652 penalty notice.
