A woman has been arrested following a unit fire in Adelaide’s CBD.
Police and fire crews were called to an apartment complex on Old Treasury Lane, Adelaide, about 10.25am on Wednesday 26 August after reports of a fire.
On arrival, police officers entered the complex to assist with evacuating residents. Three police officers suffered smoke inhalation and were treated by paramedics at the scene.
Metropolitan Fire Service firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze, containing it to the apartment and preventing it from spreading to neighbouring units. The apartment sustained significant fire damage, while several nearby units sustained smoke and water damage.
An 18-year-old woman of no fixed address was arrested at the scene and is expected to be charged with arson.
Fire cause investigators are examining the scene as investigations into the fire continue.
