Police arrest woman after assault at Payneham South, South Australia

A woman has been arrested following a serious assault at Payneham South.

Just before 8.30pm, Tuesday 11 January, patrols and paramedics were called to a unit on Douglas Place, after reports of a man having been stabbed in the back by a woman known to him. Police were quickly on scene arresting the woman.

The victim, a 47-year-old from Pooraka, has been taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The woman, a 44-year-old from Payneham South, is expected to be charged with serious assault.
