Police arrest woman for illegal use at Davoren Park, South Australia

A woman was arrested after being caught driving a stolen car at Davoren Park last night.

About 8pm on Saturday 13 July, a Northern District patrol spotted a stolen Mitsubishi Verada driving along Womma Road, Edinburgh North.

The patrol followed the vehicle to Heytesbury Road, where the vehicle pulled over and the driver was arrested.

During a search of the stolen vehicle, police allegedly located cash and a quantity of methamphetamine.

The 34-year-old Craigmore woman was charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle and trafficking in a controlled drug. She was bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on 30 August.

The stolen car was seized for forensic examination before it can be returned to its owner later today. It had been stolen from Elizabeth on Friday evening.
