Police are calling for witnesses following a serious crash at Breadalbane in northern Tasmania in the early hours of this morning.
Police and emergency services were called to a serious single motor vehicle crash at Evandale and Hobart Road, Breadalbane, about 4.30am today.
The vehicle was being driven by an 81 year-old man, who was the only occupant.
The driver was treated by Ambulance Tasmania at the scene before being transported to Launceston General Hospital in a critical condition.
Police crash investigators are investigating the scene to determine the circumstances of the crash.
