Police car rammed at Hahndorf, South Australia

Police are searching for a driver of a ute that crashed into a police car this morning at Hahndorf.

Just after 2.20am on Saturday 31 August, a patrol attempted to stop a red Holden Rodeo ute on Johns Lane. The ute stopped, then reversed into the police car and sped off, and was last seen turning right on to Mount Barker Road to head south.

No police officers were injured.

The ute was later found in Bowyer Avenue, Mount Barker where it had been set alight. The fire caused extensive damage to the vehicle.

Police are attempting to contact the owner of the vehicle to determine who was driving, and anyone with information that can assist police is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au
