Police charge driver after Cranbourne collision

Casey Highway Patrol have charged a woman following a collision that left a pedestrian seriously injured in Cranbourne yesterday.

It’s alleged the driver of a Mazda wagon driving south on Rosebank Drive was turning into Thompsons Road when she struck the pedestrian on 26 March about 6.45am.

The pedestrian, a 43-year-old Narre Warren South man, sustained serious injuries and was conveyed to hospital.

The driver, a 19-year-old Cranbourne North woman, was not injured.

Officers charged the woman with dangerous driving causing serious injury, unlicensed driving, drug driving and breaching bail conditions.

She fronted an out of sessions court hearing last night where she was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ court today.
