Police charge four after Echo warrants

Detectives from the Echo Taskforce have charged four people after a number of search warrants were executed today as part of their ongoing investigation into aggravated burglary and extortion related offences.

The search warrants, which targeted members of the Rebels outlaw motorcycle gang, were executed in Point Cook, Carrum Downs, Greenvale and Traralgon.

A further search warrant was also executed at the Rebels outlaw motorcycle club house in Sunshine West.

Items seized during the warrants include an allegedly stolen motorcycle, cars, a large amount of stolen property and cash.

A 28-year-old Sunshine West man, 22-year-old Point Cook man, 39-year-old Greenvale man, and a 32-year-old man also from Point Cook, were arrested during the operation.

They were charged with aggravated burglary, false imprisonment, blackmail and robbery and will face the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court this evening.

The investigation remains ongoing.
