Joondalup Detectives have charged a 27-year-old man after an incident in Cottesloe on 8 April 2020 in which a teenage girl was injured.
Around 6.40pm, a 16-year-old girl was riding her bicycle along Grant Street. As she approached the intersection of Brighton Street it is alleged the man ran up behind her saying she had dropped something.
It is alleged when the girl stopped riding her bike the man grabbed at her causing her to fall from her bike onto the road.
The 27-year-old man from Canning Vale has been charged with Unlawfully Assault and thereby did Bodily Harm with Circumstances of Aggravation.
He is due to appear before the Joondalup Magistrates Court on 25 May 2020.
